Longest Vande Bharat train route in India

The Vande Bharat Express running between Ajni-Pune is the longest route among all Vande Bharat trains. This semi-high-speed service commenced its commercial operations on August 12, 2025, and is managed and maintained by the Central Railway zone.

Ajni-Pune Vande Bharat train: Distance, Travel time, Frequency

The Ajni–Pune Vande Bharat Express covers a total distance of 881 km in 12 hours. Train number 26102 (Ajni–Pune) operates six days a week, except on Mondays, while train number 26101 (Pune–Ajni) runs every day except Tuesdays.

Ajni-Pune Vande Bharat Express: Coach configuration, Ticket price

The Ajni–Pune Vande Bharat Express consists of eight coaches and offers two seating classes – AC Chair Car and Executive Chair Car. The fare between Ajni and Pune is Rs 2,140 for AC Chair Car and Rs 3,815 for Executive Chair Car.

Ajni-Pune Vande Bharat train speed, stoppages

The Ajni–Pune Vande Bharat Express operates at a top speed of 130 kmph between Nagpur–Manmad and Daund–Pune sections, and 110 kmph between Manmad and Daund. During its journey, train numbers 26102/26101 stops at 10 stations — Wardha, Badnera, Akola, Shegaon, Bhusaval, Jalgaon, Manmad, Kopargaon, Ahilyanagar, and Daund Chord Line.
