The Centre Thursday released a commemorative postal stamp on leader of Ram Janmabhoomi movement leader and former BJP MP Mahant Avaidyanath. Communications and Information Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad released the Rs 5 stamp during a function held at Gorakhnath temple in Gorakhpur, on first death anniversary of Avaidyanath.
As per a statement released by the Gorakhnath temple, Prasad said that it was Avaidyanath dream to get the temple constructed at Ram Janmabhoomi (disputed site in Ayodhya). Prasad said the temple will be constructed at the place where the (makeshift) Ramlala (temple) is situated.

According to the release, Prasad said that he had been a lawyer in the Ram Janmabhoomi case and he was sure of victory in Supreme Court also after the Allahabad High Court judgment.
Prasad, as per the release, also said that the central government will soon release a series of commemorative postal stamps on revolutionaries. He said that the Centre was going to open 48,000 call centres across the country, including 8,800 in UP, to provide employment to youths.
