United Jihad Council (UJC) chief Syed Salahuddin has warned of attacks in the national capital, saying the attacks in Pampore and Pathankot showed that “militants are present in every part of the state (Jammu and Kashmir)”.
The UJC chief, who is also supreme commander of the Hizbul Mujahideen, also criticised Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti for her remark that militants were bringing a bad name to Islam and Kashmir.

“The Indian forces, after getting hit by militants, take revenge on innocent men and women,” UJC spokesman Syed Sadaqat Hussain quoted Salahuddin as saying.
“If the Indian forces don’t desist from such cowardly acts, the attacks of mujahideen will engulf Delhi,” Salahuddin was quoted as saying.
In a statement to a local news agency, Hussain said a meeting of UJC was held on Tuesday. Quoting Salahuddin, Hussain said the attacks in Pampore, Bijbehara and Pathankot airbase show that “militants are present in every part of the state” and these attacks would “continue till the last Indian soldier leaves Kashmir.”
