Most areas in north India and national capital woke up to a hazy morning on Wednesday experiencing the first dense fog cover of this winter season. The visibility became very low at some parts in the city and across north India impacting flight operations and vehicular movement. News agency ANI reports that many flights have been delayed due to the fog.

On the other hand, Delhiites who have already experienced low visibility because of high level of pollution after Diwali in October, did express some apprehension over the nature of fog this time. The pollution level remained severe in many parts, informed Delhi traffic police. At places like Anand Vihar, Shadipur and RK Puran, the PM 2.5 and PM 10 levels were multiple times high than the normal levels at 8:30 am, reports ANI.
