Centre re-appoints Tushar Mehta as Solicitor General of India

The term for all the law officers is that of three years, or until further notice, whichever should be earlier.

The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet on Friday re-appointed Tushar Mehta as the Solicitor-General of India.

Besides Mehta, six Additional Solicitor Generals of India – namely, Vikramjit Banerjee, K.M Nataraj, Balbir Singh, S.V Raju, N. Venkataraman, and Aishwariya Bhati – were re-appointed.

The term for all the law officers is that of three years, or until further notice, whichever should be earlier.
