Shahid Kapoor, Karan Johar, Ganesh Hegde to judge; Shamita, Sanaya, Ashish to participate in ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8’

Shahid Kapoor has finally given a nod to the makers of 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa' and will judge the eighth season of the show in place of Madhuri Dixit.

This is for the first time that the show will have an all-male judging panel.

Shahid Kapoor has finally given a nod to the makers of ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ and will judge the eighth season of the show in place of Madhuri Dixit.

According to a report pulished in Times Of India, “Shahid Kapoor has replaced Madhui Dixit Nene on the season eight of the show. Choreographer Ganesh Hegde is another new entrant with only Karan Johar retained from the previous season.”

The contestants this season also form an interesting mix of TV and film personalities. Shilpa Shetty’s sister Shamita, TV stars Sanaya Irani, Parth Samthaan, Radhika Madan, Vivian Dsena, Ashish Choudhry, Dipika Samson, Kavita Kaushik and Sargun Mehta are expected to be a part of the celebrity dance show.

As far as the hosts are concerned, the ever favourite Manish Paul has been retained with ‘Bigg Boss 8’ third runner-up and popular RJ Pritam been roped in to host the show. Pritam is known for his wits and comic timing and enjoyed the stature of a sensible person during his stint in ‘Bigg Boss 8’.

‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8’ will go on floors on June 29 and will be aired July 11 onwards.
