Dolly Ki Doli song Phatte Tak Nachna, not so peppy

Phatte Tak Nachna
Phatte tak nachna begins on a rather hilarious note with Sonam Kapoor’s mother-in-law inquiring about her height, but something is amiss the minute you hear the song by Sunidhi Chauhan—Chauhan may not have been the right choice to lend vocals for Kapoor’s voice simply because it hardly sounds like the actress.
However, rendered with the dholak and a slow tempo, the song’s composition by Sajid-Wajid may just pick up. But alas! That is not all that matters. Despite its edgy lyrics by Danish Sabri, the song trudges along, also because its theme needed a more upbeat tempo. One can also attribute this bland song to the fact that wedding songs have been done to death and maybe it could have been picturised a little more innovatively.
Thankfully, this is for a scene which has the bride Sonam Kapoor intoxicated, quite unlike your quintessential bride found in Bollywood films. However, the song is worth catching, courtesy its heroine whose moves have taken the song a few notches higher.
