Split from Sally Field my biggest regret: Burt Reynolds

Burt Reynolds said, “She was the love of my life. I miss her. Even today I think she’s something special – the best thing that ever happened to me. Our break up is the biggest regret of my life.”

It has been 32 years now that Burt Reynolds split from former girlfriend Sally Field, but the actor he still regrets breaking up with them.

The 79-year-old “Deliverance” star says his frequent co-star, who he dated for several years in the late 1970s and early 1980s, is the one who got away but she is too smart to ever take him back, reported Female First.

“She was the love of my life. I miss her. Even today I think she’s something special – the best thing that ever happened to me. Our break up is the biggest regret of my life. I would have been better when I was grown up and a lot more mature. I was pretty wild. She’s too smart for (a reunion),” he said.
