There has been a lot of hearsay about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s comeback to the silver screen. There had been scripts waiting to be read and approved and finally it was Sanjay Gupta’s ‘Jazbaa’ which was decided to be the former beauty queen’s comeback vehicle.

Another project that Aishwarya Rai will soon start working for is Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ co-starring Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma and the former Miss World is quite happy and upbeat about it.

It’s also said that prior to finalising ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, Karan Johar had discussed two more ideas with the actress. So why did Aishwarya eventually choose this movie?

The reason is that the script of this movie made Aishwarya Rai smile. “When I heard the script of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, it made me smile. For me as an actor, it is exciting to be a part of this story and with Karan, it will be the way it should be told. Thus am happy to be on board,” said she, in an interview to the Times of India.

The Karan Johar directorial is likely to go on floors mid next year.
