MLA and Pimpri-Chinchwad BJP president Laxman Jagtap called upon the party rank and file on Monday to throw the NCP out of power in PCMC and end their “corrupt regime.” Jagtap was speaking at the Leadership Development Workshop organised by the party in Pimpri.
“NCP has committed corruption to the tune of crores. The ruling NCP, their corporators, leaders and contractors have looted the public money,” he alleged, adding that the BJP has exposed several corrupt deals of the party in the past few months.

Jagtap further claimed that 18 villages that were merged with PCMC 19 years ago have not yet seen even a shred of development. “Citizens in these areas do not even have basic amenities. This exposes the NCP-ruled Pimpri-Chinchwad area,” he said.
BJP leaders Eknath Pawar, Babu Nair, Sarang Kamtekar, Prakash Dhavle and Nehul Kudale were also present at the event.
Stating that the BJP had conducive atmosphere to win civic polls, he said, “In the name of development, NCP has looted the public money. The financial assistance received from Central and state governments for various development projects were pocketed by NCP leaders and the contractors they appointed. Every civic project was implemented at an exorbitant cost.” Jagtap said both the affordable housing scheme and slum rehabilitation were ridden with massive corruption. “And the quality of the houses constructed for the poor are seen to be believed. We have already brought this to the notice of the state government,” he said.
