Human trafficking racket: Rescued Russian woman ‘back’ in Delhi

Investigators have asked her to join the probe into the racket busted by south district police, the sources added.

A 23-year-old Russian woman who was rescued from the house of a businessman, Pritindra Nath Sanyal, arrested on charges of running a human trafficking racket has come back to Delhi, said sources Monday.

Investigators have asked her to join the probe into the racket busted by south district police, the sources added. “We are in touch with her. She has been asked to give her statement. She is not in the right frame of mind, but may come soon,” said an officer. The woman’s statement is crucial in the case in which investigators suspect there may be a prostitution angle.
