State promotes 8 IAS officers

The Gujarat government Wednesday promoted eight IAS officers,including A K Sharma,secretary to chief minister Narendra Modi,and chief electoral officer Anita Karwal. Others who have been promoted to the rank of principal secretary include B B Swain,vice-chairman and managing director of Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation,Finance Secretary S Aparna,vice-chairman and MD of Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation Mukesh Puri,Commissioner of Persons with Disabilities Sanjay Nandan Agarwal and Gujarat Women Economic Development Corporation’s MD Anuradha Mall

Arun Kumar Sutaria,revenue inspection commissioner,is the lone IAS officer from the 1982 batch to be part of this promotion list of IAS officers from the 1988 batch. Though these IAS officers will continue to hold their current posts,a reshuffle is likely to happen in the coming days.
