This year, Easter is being celebrated on April 9. It is a joyous occasion and is observed at the end of the Lenten season of fasting and penitence. Easter Sunday marks victory of life over death. “He is risen” is the popular proclamation on this day as it is believed that on Easter, Christ was resurrected after crucifixion.
