According to Dave, "What becomes of utmost relevance are the many parallels each artist draws to objects, icons, styles, and epochs. As per Dave, while the practices on display were diverse in the use of materials and media, the underlying concerns were "concurrent, at times even intersecting". Speaking about the objects on display, the curator noted that there were "born out of an innate desire". "A desire subjected to a number of readings by each practitioner. It is in this process of readings that this said desire opens up a wide range of source material ultimately carrying the work as a ‘network of readings’.
