
The BJP-led NDA government is projected to get a clear majority in the Lok Sabha elections, according to various exit poll results telecast after the mammoth seven-phase polls came to an end on Sunday.
Most of the surveys gave NDA over 300 seats, while Congress-led UPA is expected to settle near 140 seats. According to Republic Bharat-Jan ki Baat exit polls, NDA will win more than 300 seats. Times Now-VMR predicted NDA winning 306 and UPA 132 seats.
Most of the polls suggested that the Congress, which had registered its worst performance in 2014 with 44 seats, would fall below the 100 mark, with News18-IPSOS projecting only 46 seats for the party.
