PAU to hold crop produce contest from Sept 22

A crop produce competition will be organised at the Punjab Agricultural University between September 22-23. Divulging details,Dr Jasbir Singh Chawla,senior maize breeder of PAU and convener of produce competition committee,said besides the competition of recommended and approved varieties of vegetables including okra ( bhindi) ,bitter gourd ( karela) ,chillies,Ram tori ,radish,cowpea,arvi,tinda ,capsicum ( shimla mirch ),ghiya kaddu ,halwa kaddu and brinjal,among others the competition of field crops such as maize (cobs) or any other crop,will also be held.
