In a fresh salvo,Congress general secretary Digvijaya Singh on Friday took a dig at two stalwarts of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and veteran party leader L K Advani. I don't dream of being the PM: Modi A day after Modi, the poll panel chief of the BJP,said that he did not have any ambition to become the Prime Minister,Digvijaya posted a tweet asking if he learnt his lesson from Advani. Express Editorial: Narendra Modi-hit The tweet said,"Modi-Those who dream to become PM are biggest losers( HOTE HEIN BARBAD).Has he learnt his lesson from Advani ji permanent PM in waiting ?" Opinion: In Gujarat, growth relies on indebtedness The Congress further said that the Gujarat Chief Minister has become "wiser". In another tweet,Digvijaya said,"Or he is seeing the writing on the wall? There is a saying in Gujarat "LEBA GAYA HAVELI KHO DIYO AHEMDABAD" Looks like Modi has become wiser." At a function in Gujarat on the occasion of Teacher's Day,Modi had said that he never saw "such dreams (of becoming prime minister),nor am I going to see such dreams". Modi had also said,"Those who dream of becoming something end up destroying themselves. One should not dream of becoming something, but one should dream of doing something." His statement was being seen as a veiled dig at L K Advani, the BJP's prime ministerial candidate in 2009,who is reported to be opposing any move to announce Modi as the PM candidate before assembly elections later this year. In Delhi, party leaders sought to downplay his remarks, saying "It was an official function and this was the most obvious answer". But top party functionaries admitted that "it was a message to those within the party opposing his projection" as the prime ministerial candidate.
