Chitrangada,Irrfan enhance ‘Yeh Saali…’: Sudhir Mishra

Sudhir Mishra's latest 'Yeh Saali Zindagi' is a romantic thriller about the unpredictability of life and love.

Filmmaker Sudhir Mishra’s latest outing ‘Yeh Saali Zindagi’ is a quirky romantic thriller about two men who go to the very edge for the women they love.

“Its a film about the unpredictability of life and love. Some bullets kill you, some save your life; sometimes love can kill you and sometimes it can save your life,” Mishra said.

The director also said the film rides on a roller-coaster towards a shattering climax, where all the players have to fend for their lives and love.

Mishra claimed when he finished writing the film he realised that it was different from the ones he had done earlier “When I re-read it,I found it to be a quirky, funny romance that unfolded like a thriller,” he said.

“The choice of Delhi as the setting turned out to be fantastic as the February fog lent the film a whole new dimension. All the locations, from Chandni Chowk to the back lanes of Karol Bagh,Lutyen’s Delhi to the rustic outskirts of the city began whispering in my ears about how best to shoot them,” he said.

Mishra said his script was enhanced by the talents of a wonderful cast and crew. “I realised I was just the medium through which the expression came about,” he said.

The film, releasing early next year, stars Irrfan Khan,Chitrangada Singh and Arunoday Singh.
