Beware of Cong’s ‘khooni panja’,says Modi

Gandhi alleged poverty is on the rise in state,Modi said people had prevented 'looters'.

Terming the Congress’s election symbol as a “khooni panja” (bloodied hand),the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Thursday urged the people to save Chhattisgarh from its “evil spirit”.

Addressing a poll rally in Dongargaon,Modi said,“All these years,Congress has not given anything besides devastation. Yadi aap chahte hain ki Chhattisgarh ke upar kisi khooni panje ka saya na pade to aap sabhi kamal mein button dabana aur Chhattisgarh ko khooni panje se bachana (If you want to save Chhattisgarh from the bloodied hand, then vote for BJP).”

Earlier in the day,at a poll rally in Jagdalpur,he said,“Congress ka panja padta to Chhattisgarh dus saal men tabah ho jata” (If Chhattisgarh had fallen into Congress’s hands,it would have been ruined)… If you had not given Chhattisgarh to Raman Singh, the state would have gone to looters.”

Targeting the earlier Congress government,he described former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi as “julmi, atyachari shashak” (despotic, tyrant ruler).

Modi also attacked Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and accused his government of “partying” during the Patna blasts. “In Patna, terrorists attacked and exploded several bombs — they had conspired to kill BJP leaders. But there was no sign of grief in the city. Such a big incident took place, lekin wahan ki sarkar mehfil mana rahi thi (but the government was partying) and enjoyed chhappan bhog,” said Modi. “When he (Nitish) was asked about any likely security lapse,he arrogantly dismissed it. There was no mention of any inquiry,” he added.
