After rocking charts,’Munni’ makes a world record

After dominating all award shows and dance floors for months, the chartbuster made a Guinness record.

The ‘Munni’ mania seems to be far from over. The song which prompted a mass hysteria since it debuted in the Salman Khan starrer,’Dabangg’,dominated all music awards and became an anthem on dance floors, has added a new feather to its cap. The Malaika Arora Khan chartbuster now finds its way to the coveted Guinness Book of World Records. Wondering how and why? Well here’s the story…

According to the film’s producer Arbaaz Khan, the chartbuster prompted a dance marathon in Australia, which made its way into the record books. He said,”Over 1200 people danced non-stop to ‘Munni Badnaam’ at Melbourne park beating the earlier record which was set in Singapore when 1008 people danced publicly to a song. The Guinness Book adjudicators were present and so it qualifies as a record. We now enter the Guinness Book for this distinction.”

With this achievement Munni’s popularity has gone well beyond the seven seas.
