Mizoram Assembly Elections 2023: Full list of BJP candidates standing in polls

Former minister K Beichhua, who was expelled from MNF earlier this year for "anti-party activities", will be contesting from the Siaha seat on a BJP ticket.

Ahead of the Assembly elections in Mizoram, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on October 18 released two separate lists of 21 candidates in the polls.

Two former Mizo National Front (MNF) leaders, Lalrinliana Sailo and Durjya Dhan Chakma, who joined BJP recently, have found a place in the lists. While Sailo, who is a former Speaker in the Mizoram Assembly, will contest from the Mamit constituency, Chakma, former Chief Executive Member of the Chakma Autonomous District, has been fielded from the Tuichawng constituency.

Former minister K Beichhua, who was expelled from MNF earlier this year for “anti-party activities”, will be contesting from the Siaha seat.

Voting for the Mizoram polls will take place on November 7. Results will be declared on December 3.
