The Prime Minister had wrapped up the BJP campaign for the polls on Sunday with a rally in Nanjangud in the Mysuru district, where he intensified his attacks on the Congress, accusing the Gandhi family of calling for the “secession” of the state from India, and “taking the lead in working against the interests” of the country.
Taking to Twitter, the PM also shared a video message where he said that the love given to him by the people of Karnataka is like “God’s blessings”.
“You have seen the results of a double-engine government in Karnataka for the last three-and-a-half years,” Modi added. “Despite the global coronavirus pandemic, Karnataka received foreign investments to the tune of Rs 90,000 crores annually,” he said, adding that this was considerably more than what was received during the previous government’s reign.

“The slogan ‘Ee baaria nirdhara, bahumatada BJP sarkara’ is still echoing in my ears,” he said.
The upcoming Assembly elections witnessed high-voltage campaigning by the BJP and Congress, with PM Modi and Rahul Gandhi in key roles.
PM Modi had held massive roadshows in Bengaluru on Saturday and Sunday, covering a distance of altogether over 30 km. While he had drawn huge crowds, the BJP leader also faced criticism from Bengaluru residents over the blocking of roads and traffic jams triggered by the rally.
The results of the polls will be declared on May 13 (Saturday).
