Ex-Maoist child soldiers in Nepal lock leaders in office

The order comes at a time when he is facing an impeachment motion in Parliament on multiple grounds.

Lokman Singh Karki, the beleaguered Chief of the Commission of Inquiry into Abuse of Authority, the anti-graft constitutional body, has been asked by the Nepal Supreme Court to appear personally before it in a contempt case within a week.

The court asked Karki to appear in person while responding to a contempt notice — over his alleged attempt to stop the SC summon over with a case questioning his eligibility to hold the post— from being delivered at his residence. The order comes at a time when he is facing an impeachment motion in Parliament on multiple grounds.
