The Israeli Prime Minister in a stern warning to Iran said that the latter committed a “big mistake” by attacking Tel Aviv and vowed to retaliate against Iran for its missile attack.

Netanyahu added that Iran would pay for the attack on Israel in which over 200 ballistic missiles were fired upon, causing air raid sirens to go off across Israel and forcing citizens to take shelter in safe zones.

“Iran made a big mistake tonight and will pay for it, whoever attacks us, we will attack them,” PM Netanyahu said hours after the attack.

Netanyahu called the attack a “failure” and suggested that Iran will also face the same fate as that of Hamas and Hezbollah militant groups.

Earlier, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) carried out the aerial attack on Israel wherein one Palestinian man was killed in the occupied West Bank during the attack, and a school in central Israel and a restaurant in Tel Aviv were hit.

The attack by Iran marks a significant rise in the violent aggression in the Middle East region which has remained volatile since Hamas attacked Israel in October last year.

Iran’s barrage of missile salvo was a retaliatory attack carried out in response to Israel’s latest aggression in the region by targeting and killing Lebanon based Hezbollah’s leader Hassan Nasrallah, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh and Revolutionary Guards deputy Commander Abbas Nilforoushan.

Meanwhile, post the attack, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian gave a stern warning to Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, stating that Tehran is not belligerent.
