India not responsible for global environment degradation, says PM Modi in New York

PM Modi recently met with US President Joe Biden in Wilmington, Delaware, on September 21, as part of his three-day US visit, where he also attended the fourth Quad Leaders Summit alongside Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio.

PM Modi highlighted India’s commitment to green energy, noting the significant number of green jobs being created. He asserted, “Our carbon emission is almost negligible,” and contrasted India’s energy strategy with the carbon fuel-driven growth options available to other nations, as reported by PTI.

He attributed this commitment to India’s cultural reverence for nature, which drives the country’s investments in solar, wind, hydro, green hydrogen, and nuclear energy.

The Prime Minister also pointed out India’s digital advancements, remarking, “No one can stop India now. India wants to have maximum mobile devices on ‘Made in India’ chips.”

Furthermore, he discussed improvements in the education sector, expressing a desire for international students to study in India, where the number of educational institutions have significantly increased.
