‘Breaking Bad’ actor Raymond Cruz arrested for spraying water at woman

Raymond Cruz, best known for playing Tuco Salamanca in the hit TV series ‘Breaking Bad’, was arrested in Los Angeles on September 8 after allegedly spraying multiple women with a hose, according to The Independent. He was later released without bail and is due in court next month.

What happened?

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) told The Independent that officers responded to a call in the Silver Lake neighbourhood at about 10:40 a.m. Cruz was arrested at the scene and taken into custody.

NBC news reported that he was released later that day and must appear in court on October 1. Police said at least one woman involved chose to press charges.

Cruz’s agent, Raphael Berko, told The Independent that the actor was washing his car when three women parked close to him and refused to move. “They began to film him,” Berko said. “When he turned around to tell them to stop filming him, he was still hosing his car. Some of the water from his hose hit the front of his car and spilled on their car.”

Berko added that Cruz was “grateful” for how officers treated him during the five hours he was in custody.

Raymond Cruz, 60, is an American actor best known for playing drug lord Tuco Salamanca in ‘Breaking Bad’ and its prequel ‘Better Call Saul’.

He also played Detective Julio Sanchez in ‘The Closer’ and its spin-off ‘Major Crimes’.

As per NBC news reports police did not provide details about the motive behind the incident. The Independent said Cruz’s representatives have been contacted for further comment.
