The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has announced the commencement of the Bharat Gaurav Special Tourist Train journey from the New Jalpaiguri (NJP) railway station on May 18, 2024 (Saturday).
This special tourism train is in alignment with the Center’s initiatives ‘Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat’ and ‘Dekho Apna Desh.’ The train will cover various tourist destinations in North India.
Here is everything one needs to know about the soon-to-be-launched Bharat Gaurav Special Tourist Train.
The Bharat Gaurav Special Tourist Train will have a total duration of nine days and eight nights.
As per the initial schedule of the Bharat Gaurav Special Tourist Train, it will cover multiple religious tourist spots such as Vaishno Devi, Rishikesh, Haridwar, Ayodhya, Mathura, and Vrindavan.
The Bharat Gaurav Special Tourist Train will be comprised of AC 3 tier and Sleeper/Economy coaches.
Starting on May 18, from New Jalpaiguri, on its initial run, the Bharat Gaurav Special Tourist Train will cross Malda Town, Rampurhat, Dumka, Jamalpur, Bhagalpur and Kiul to arrive in Patna on May 19.
On May 20 and 21, the train will halt at Vaishno Devi Katra before making other stops, including Haridwar on May 22 and 23, Mathura on May 25 and Ayodhya on May 25. The train will start its return journey on May 26.
The Bharat Gaurav Special Tourist Train will have two classes of coaches for the AC 3 tier the passengers have to pay INR 29,500, while the ticket prices for the Sleeper/Economy class are INR 17,900.
