Sasural Simar Ka’s terrible copy of the Game of Thrones trailer will leave you in splits

The Hindi TV series tried to pull of the Hall of Faces trailer promo from the internationally famous Game of Thrones.

They do say that imitation is the best form of flattery, but sometimes, it goes ‘oh so wrong’, that the idea of flattery is a mere myth. As the world gears up, with bated breath for many, for the Season 6 premier of Game of Thrones, it seems another daily soap closer home decided to pay its tribute to GoT. Except, the directors of the hit drama would probably be cringing at this one.

The latest promo of the famous Hindi series Sasural Simar Ka tries to do a Hall of Faces and fails so terribly that we’re not sure whether to laugh or cry. Take a look at the promo yourself.

But we shouldn’t be as surprised with this direct copy of GoT. Last year, another Hindi TV series ‘Chakravartin Ashok Samrat’ brought in a character that looked so much like the hunk Khal Drogo. Can you see the uncanny resemblance?
