VIDEO: VJ Lola Kutty hilariously summarises the love-hate relationship between a mother and her daughter-in-law

There has been too many jokes on the relationship a mother-in-law shares with her daughter-in-law. From snide comments to sarcastic retorts, the relationship encompasses all, or so it’s believed! Each mother-in-law has a story and so does her daughter-in-law but for all you know, the versions might differ.

Comedian Anuradha Menon, whom many of us remember as the popular VJ Lola Kutty summarises this relationship hilariously. In a video posted online, Menon talks about her Gujarati mother-in-law, and how the latter called her son ten times a day after marriage and took offence when Menon called her ‘aunty’ and not mother. The video gets funnier when Menon interacts with the women in the audience and tells them that they are deluded if they think their mother-in-laws like them. It goes without saying that all these were said in jest.
