Heavy snowfall triggered chaos in Himachal Pradesh after over a thousand vehicles were stranded in Manali and Solang Valley recently. A travel vlogger who was also stuck in the snow shared a video from the hill station, warning tourists to stay away from the region.
In the viral clip, the vlogger captures several vehicles stuck in snow. “People who are planning to come to Solang Valley in Manali, please drop your plans for now. Look at this! Over 1,500 vehicles are trapped in this area due to heavy snow, including the Himachal SDM’s vehicle. Please don’t come here now,” he said.
He mentioned that he had been stuck in the valley since 10 am along with the other vehicles even as the video indicated that it was past twilight.

The video amassed nearly 8 million views as several users expressed concern for the tourists trapped in the hill station. “Please don’t turn on the heater in the car. Keep your windows open to let the oxygen flow. Please take care,” a user wrote. “He is right. We were also trapped very badly yesterday. The situation is scary,” another user commented.
“How are you guys managing food and water,” a third user asked.
Last week, around a thousand vehicles were stuck in the massive traffic jam between Solang Valley and Atal Tunnel, Rohtang in Himachal Pradesh due to heavy snowfall, prompting the authorities to launch a rescue operation. The police were able to rescue around 700 tourists from the traffic and helped them reach safe locations, ANI reported.
