Swiggy instamart revealed some interesting insights into consumer behaviour in their annual ‘Quick Commerce Trends’ report.

As 2023 draws to a close, Swiggy Instamart published its annual ‘Quick Commerce Trends’ report showcasing some interesting consumer habits.

A man from Jaipur placed 67 orders on a single day while a man from Delhi spent a whopping Rs 12,87,920 on his grocery in a year. Swiggy Instamart said the Delhi man ended up saving Rs 1,70,102 on his yearly grocery bill.

Another order from Delhi consisted of 99 items, the majority being chips, chocolates and cookies.
The single highest order was worth Rs 31,748 by a user from Chennai who purchased coffee, juice, cookies, nachos and chips.

If you are wondering what users order the most, then Swiggy revealed onions, tomatoes and coriander leaves retained their position as the most “seasoned” trio of all orders.

The country’s biggest mango lovers reside in Bengaluru as the city ordered more mangoes than Mumbai and Hyderabad put together.

The highest number of condom orders were recorded in September and if you are wondering what the most ordered item was alongside condoms, it was surprisingly onions followed by bananas and chips.

When it comes to snacks, Makhana was the hands down winner with a staggering 1.3 million orders. The most searched item on the app was milk followed by curd and onions.

When it comes to days, November 19 witnessed a staggering demand for chips, with 1,39,874 packets being delivered. On October 15, 1,90,418 units of milk were ordered.

August 12 saw 5,893 packets of condoms being delivered while on September 6,21,591 units of butter were delivered. On October 2, 82 tonnes of tomatoes were sold while May 21 witnessed 36 tonnes of mangoes being ordered. On July 30, 61 tonnes of onions were ordered.

Swiggy said its delivery personnel covered a distance of 29,95,13,538 kilometres this year while the fastest delivery was achieved in Delhi where a packet of instant noodles was delivered in 65 seconds!
