There is no contesting actor Shah Rukh Khan’s fan following. So, when senior BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargh said that SRK’s soul is in Pakistan even if he lives in India, there was no way his army of fans would let him get away with it — #KailashVijayVargiyaLeaveIndia has been trending on Twitter ever since.
Interestingly, Kamal Rashid Khan (popularly known as KRK of ‘Deshdrohi’ fame), seems to be a huge fan of Shah Rukh (going by his tweets).

Even Anupam Kher tweeted in Shah Rukh Khan’s support
Some members of the BJP really need to control their tongue & stop talking rubbish about @iamsrk. He is a national icon & We r PROUD of him.

The backlash seems to have got to the BJP leader who, earlier in the day, retracted from his comments and tweeted that he didn’t mean to hurt anyone’s sentiments and he takes his comments back. Nevertheless, the love for SRK seems to overpower his apology; the hashtag is still trending.
