India cricketer Ravindra Jadeja hit headlines recently after his father opened up about the rift in the father-son relationship in an interview. Speaking to a Gujarati daily, Anirudhsinh Jadeja blamed his son’s wife Rivaba for the falling out in the family.
“The issues started after two or three months of their marriage. I currently live alone in Jamnagar, while Ravindra resides in a separate bungalow of his own. He lives in the same city, but I don’t get to see him. I don’t know what magic his wife has done on him,” Jadeja’s father told Divya Bhaskar.
Now, an old tweet by Ravindra Jadeja from 2012 has emerged on the internet wherein he talks about how important it is to respect one’s parents. ”One who touches his parents foot daily, He never faces the situation in his life to touch others foot,” the tweet reads.

Reacting to the old tweet, one user wrote, “Kya baat he bhai. Badal gye aap toh.” Another user commented, “This is the jaddu we all love. Kya hogya aapko ab?” Yet another user reacted, “Never Imagined a guy like you will go against his parents.”
However, Ravindra Jadeja shared a clarification after his father’s interview caught the attention and called it ‘scripted’. In a note shared by him in Gujarati, he said, “The things mentioned in the dubious interview with Divya Bhaskar are meaningless and untrue. It is a one-sided story, and I completely deny the allegations. The attempts made to tarnish my wife’s image are truly reprehensible and unbecoming. I, too, have much to say, but I won’t air it publicly.”
