Gemini AI comes to Google Chrome: Smarter search, tab management, and task automation
Google says it is integrating Gemini in Chrome and that it will bring agentic AI features to the world's most popular browser in the coming months.
Google Chrome is getting a bunch of new Gemini powered features. (Express Photo) Google has been continually adding Gemini to its popular products and services, such as Android and Gmail, and the newest one to receive the AI treatment is Chrome. The tech giant says Gemini in Chrome is coming to both the Mac and Windows desktop versions of the app, and like its Android counterpart.
In a blog post, the tech giant Gemini in Chrome is built “across multiple levels so it can better anticipate your needs, help you understand more complex information and make you more productive when you browse the web.”
Like the Android, iOS and web versions of Gemini, users will be able to ask the AI chatbot complex questions, get information about or from a particular web page, work across tabs and even schedule meetings or search for YouTube videos. Also, with the new update, Chrome users will soon be able to access Google Search’s AI Mode directly from the address bar and change their compromised passwords with one click.
