In an act of compassion, a Punjab Police personnel came to the rescue of a dog that had got its head stuck in a vehicle.
The Twitter account of Commissioner of Police Amritsar shared the video of Head Constable Palwinder Singh rescuing the dog. The stray dog appeared to have got its head stuck in a hole in the bumper of a car that appeared to be damaged in an accident.
The dog’s neck appeared to be badly injured. To help the dog, the policeman wrapped a towel around the dog’s neck and slowly manoeuvred its head out of the car’s bumper.
“A heartwarming act of compassion! In a touching incident, a dog got trapped in a car bumper, Amritsar police official came to the rescue. With great care and skill, safely freed the dog, ensuring its well-being,” the caption of the video read.

The cop’s humanitarian act won the hearts of the netizens. A user commented, “Empathy for all living beings is the call of all religions and humanity. God bless your official for such a compassionate act,” said another. “God bless him for all his kindness hope the dog got medical help too,” posted a third.
