Artificial Intelligence is unlocking new realms of creativity. Whether it’s reimagining a world in the style of Studio Ghibli or breathing life into beloved brand mascots, AI is driving a wave of imagination and nostalgia.
A recent example has taken Instagram by storm, thanks to Shahid SK, co-founder of an AI-focused marketing agency. His latest creation has struck a nostalgic chord, especially with millennials. He has revived some of India’s most iconic brand mascots, but this time in a hyper-realistic world built using generative AI.

The video features a striking lineup: the mischievous Amul Girl enjoying a cheese pyramid, the Parle-G girl gleefully seated on a heap of biscuits, and a sharply dressed Maharaja from Air India offering his signature courteous smile. The energetic Nirma Girl appears mid-dance in her classic white polka-dot frock, cheered on by a lively crowd.

We also see Bholu, the gentle railway guard mascot of Indian Railways, holding a lantern on a quiet platform, while Asian Paints’ Gattu is captured mid-stroke, painting a wall bright red. International mascots like Fido Dido from 7UP and Chester Cheetah from Cheetos also make appearances.

Shahid shared the video with the caption: “Reimagining Iconic Brand Mascots in Real Life. I thought of using AI to reimagine iconic mascots like the Amul Girl, the Maharaja of Air India, Bholu from Indian Railways, Gattu from Asian Paints, the Nirma Girl, Fido Dido from 7UP, and Chester Cheetah from Cheetos in a hyper-realistic world. The results are pretty impressive, right?”

And clearly, the Internet agrees. The video has racked up over four million views, with comment sections flooded by emotional and awestruck reactions. One user said: “Finally you brought them alive.” Another wrote, “This is so great in every terms nostalgic and thinking pov. It might bring tears in the eyes of Nirma’s founder.”

A third user commented, “Kissi ne socha bhi nahi hoga inke andar jaan daalne ki (No one would have even imagined bringing them to life).” Another user said, “the best AI generated video I have ever seen.”

This viral clip comes in the wake of the Internet’s Ghibli trend, where AI-generated animations in the beloved Japanese style swept across social media. From everyday users to celebrities — and even politicians — everyone wanted in, transforming everything from Bollywood scenes to profile pictures into Ghibli-inspired art.
