Pakistani TikTok star Hareem Shah (@_Hareem_Shah) in a post on X, formerly Twitter, on September 3 alleged that her husband has been “abducted” by people dressed in plain clothes a week ago. In the video, Shah also requested Pakistan’s intelligence agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) to trace her “innocent” husband “who doesn’t have any criminal record and has no political affiliations”.

In the clip, Shah said it has been seven days since her husband Bilal has been abducted in Karachi. The TikTok sensation said she and her husband were in London and Bilal had to go to Pakistan for some work. During evening, when he ventured out of home after lunch, some cars and men in civil clothes came and took him with them “illegally”, she claimed.

She said she has also filed a petition in court and complained to the police but in vain. Shah said this was an “affront to the rule of law in Pakistan”.

“My husband Bilal has been abducted by people dressed in plain clothes. I request the law enforcement agencies to trace my husband. Bilal has no connection with any political party,” she wrote on the microblogging platform in Urdu.

In another post on X, Shah had alleged that her husband Bilal was “abducted from Karachi on the orders
of Maryam Nawaz”, daughter of former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

“Apparently my husband Bilal has been abducted from Karachi on the orders of Maryam Nawaz. I appeal to the ISI to recover Bilal as soon as possible,” she wrote.

Shah is no stranger to controversies. In August, after India became the first country to land a spacecraft on the Moon’s South Pole, she had posted a disparaging tweet.

“Modi Government spent millions of dollars to send the #Chandrayaan3 mission to the moon, but it would have been BETTer if they had used the same money to build toilets all over India. Get your priorities right,” she posted.

On August 21, she had posted a video allegedly featuring Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif walking with a woman, who Shah alleged was his “new girlfriend”.

“Shahbaz Sharif’s two-hour long meeting with his new “girlfriend” at a private hotel in London? First sat in the hotel lobby and drank tea for half an hour and then went to the room. Any shame?” she wrote.

This 25-second clip apparently became the reason for the disappearance of Bilal, according to his mother’s complaint, it is being reported.

Bilal Shah’s mother has alleged in a police complaint that her son was abducted from the Korangi area in Karachi on August 27 due to his wife Hareem’s social media posts.

In 2019, Hareem Shah triggered a controversy online after videos on the popular app showed her wandering inside the high-security Ministry of Foreign Affairs office in Islamabad. She was even seen sitting at the chair used by the Foreign Minister.
