A fresh spell of snow has turned parts of Kashmir into a wonderland. While social media is swamped with videos and photos of the Valley covered with snow, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah shared a string of mesmerising visuals, leaving the internet stunned.

Sharing the visuals on X, Abdullah wrote, “Nothing like a late evening walk in Gulmarg. It’s as beautiful after sunset as it is during the day.”

Reacting to the breathtaking view of the Kashmir Valley, a Hyderabad user wrote, “simply WOW……we can only dream about it… (from Hyderabad).” Another user commented, “It’s so beautiful. Gulmarg is like heaven on earth. Bless this place.”

“Wow, no words to express,” yet another user said.

In another tweet, Abdullah shared a skiing video. “The fresh powder made the going a bit slow but it made for spectacular skiing on the first day #Gulmarg #skiing,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, Gulmarg in the Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, flagged the 4th edition of the Khelo India Winter Games. The events include alpine skiing, nordic skiing, snowboarding, ice hockey, and snow mountaineering.

Organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports and Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council, in collaboration with the Gulmarg Development Authority, the Tourism Department, and other stakeholders, the event will end on February 25.
