A video capturing chaos inside a Delhi Metro ladies' coach has gone viral on social media, with over 1.3 million views and 18.5K likes since being posted on Instagram. The video shows a group of women in a state of panic, screaming, jumping onto seats, and huddling to one side of the compartment after someone allegedly spotted a snake. Though no snake is visible in the video, the sheer commotion among passengers suggests they genuinely believed there was one on board. The reel was uploaded by Instagram user @chauhankeerty, who captioned it: "From traffic to wildlife — Delhi never disappoints." One user said, "Aree mera boss hoga dhyan se wo mar gya toh salary nhi milegi humko" (Be careful, that must be my boss; if he dies, I won’t get my salary). Another user wrote, "New fear unlocked." Not everyone found it amusing. A third user commented, "People feel that they are privileged to create jokes on women," pointing to the sexist undertone in some responses. A fourth user claimed to have been inside the same metro coach during the incident. She wrote, "I was in this metro. Initially, a lady said 'lizard' but later someone started screaming about snakes." The exact metro line and location remain unconfirmed, and as of now, there has been no official statement from the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). This is not the first time reptiles have caused a stir on public transport. Earlier in May, passengers aboard the Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express were left stunned after a snake was found wriggling on the ceiling tube light of a toilet in coach A-3 (243578). The discovery was made on May 4 while the train, which departed New Delhi on May 3, was passing through Falakata in West Bengal.
