Recently, actors Amitabh Bachchan and Anushka Sharma ditched their cars and were seen hitching a ride on two-wheelers. However, not wearing helmets, the actors were criticised by the fans for not following the rules and many netizens tagged Mumbai Police for issuing a challan.
The Twitter account of Mumbai Traffic Police on May 16 informed that they have issued challans to the two-wheeler riders in both the cases. Bachchan took a bike ride on Monday from a “stranger” to reach his movie set location on time. However, later he clarified he was “just fooling around getting on the bike of a crew member”. He clarified that he actually did not go anywhere, but was rather creating the impression that he travelled.
Bachchan on Monday shared a picture of the ride on Instagram and thanked the stranger for his kindness in letting him ride pillion to work. “Thank you for the ride buddy .. don’t know you .. but you obliged and got me on time to location of work .. faster and in avoidance of the unsolvable traffic jams .. thank you capped, shorts and yellowed T-shirt owner,” Big B wrote while sharing the photo.
