People living in Bengaluru often complain about traffic snarls and how it takes hours for commuters to reach their destination during peak office hours. Residents living on the outskirts of the city complain about not finding a transport that can take them to their destination in time and it seems they are not exaggerating their claims.

A man named Anushank Jain shared on Twitter a screenshot of his Uber app after he booked an autorickshaw. He showed how the vehicle that accepted his ride request was 24 kilometres away and the waiting time was a staggering 71 minutes. Jain shared the screenshot and wrote on Twitter, “Huge respect for him if he actually shows up. #peakbengaluru.”

However, in another tweet, he informed that the driver cancelled within a minute.

“Huge respect for you also if you wait that long,” commented a user. “On a busy Sunday evening in cochin, As I was ferrying customers towards the drop location. I received an order where the pick up location was 11 km away. But it was 5 km away from the drops location, I accepted the ride. But sadly the customer cancelled it after 5 minutes,” another user shared.

As I was ferrying customers towards the drop location. I received an order where the pick up location was 11 km away. But it was 5 km away from the drops location, I accepted the ride.
But sadly the customer cancelled it after 5 minutes.

I’m one of Uber rider, sometimes you find a request ride 10 to 15 minutes away,then you sacrifice to pick only to end being paid a pinch.Uber need to form a creteria where such distant customers are alerted and in dieneed should be charged both for a pick up and a drop off.
