A man in Chhattisgarh’s Durg narrowly escaped death and is now being hailed as a “superhuman” by social media. The man jumped from a three-storey building onto high-voltage lines. However, he survived despite being electrocuted and even pelted bricks at policemen who came to help him.
A viral video shows the man on the roof of the building holding a long stick before he jumps. However, instead of landing on the ground, he crashes into high-tension wires, igniting massive sparks and causing the crowd to scream in shock. After being electrocuted, his limp body falls onto a first-floor balcony. Initially feared to be dead, he suddenly rises to his feet and begins throwing bricks at the police team.
According to a report in India Today, the man has been identified as Tejaraj Nayak, a resident of Kalahandi, Odisha, who had travelled to Durg from Hyderabad for his child’s treatment. The reason behind his actions remains unclear, but Nayak left the hospital, climbed a building, and began throwing bricks and stones at vehicles, causing damage. The police were restrained, but he broke free. After a chaotic struggle, the police eventually overpowered him and took him to the district hospital for treatment.
