Maharashtra college farewell turns tragic as student suffers heart attack mid-speech; video goes viral

The incident took place at Maharshi Guruvarya R G Shinde Mahavidyalaya in Paranda taluka. In the viral footage, Varsha Kharat, dressed in a saree, is seen addressing the audience in Marathi and sharing a light-hearted moment. However, midway through her speech, her pace suddenly slows down, and she unexpectedly collapses. Several attendees rushed to her aid, as reported by NDTV.

According to a Times of India report, Kharat’s uncle shared that she had a history of heart ailments and had undergone bypass surgery about seven years ago.

Recently, a 50-year-old businessman died due to a heart attack while dancing with his wife at their 25th wedding anniversary celebration in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. Wasim Sarwat and his wife Farah were celebrating their silver jubilee at a party on the Pilibhit bypass road when he suddenly collapsed. Although he was rushed to a nearby hospital, the doctors pronounced him dead.

In February, a 23-year-old woman who had travelled from Indore to Vidisha in Madhya Pradesh to attend her cousin’s wedding passed away during her dance performance. She took to the stage to dance to the popular Hindi song Sharara Sharara. However, just 30 seconds into her performance, the woman suddenly collapsed. Family members, including some doctors, attempted to perform CPR to revive her, but when that failed, she was quickly taken to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, the doctors there confirmed that she had suffered a heart attack and declared her dead.

In October 2024, Ashok Mali, a garba trainer who was popular as the ‘Garba King’, collapsed on stage during a garba event in Chakan. The 50-year-old suffered a heart attack while performing and died.
