Fuelling the war of words on X, comedian Kunal Kamra, in a fresh jab, has ‘accepted’ Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal’s job offer but with many conditions. Kamra recently slammed the electric vehicle manufacturer over his customer service and ‘failed’ EV scooters.

On Monday, the comedian shared a series of demands to “seal this collaboration”. In the now-viral post, Karma demanded that Ola Electric solve the service crisis and commit to completing all EV scooter repairs within seven business days.

“For repairs extending beyond this period, customers will first receive either a temporary replacement scooter or daily conveyance reimbursement of Rs. 500 until the repair is completed. Additionally, customers will earn Rs. 500 per delayed day (up to Rs. 50,000). Every new OLA electric scooter must be sold with two insurances—one for the scooter and one for their services (service insurance should be free for the customer),” Kamra demanded.

Tagging Aggarwal to his post, the comedian wrote, “I have no choice but to accept @bhash’s offer to work with OLA… After being tagged thousands of times I anyway feel like I am an OLA employee. OLA can seal this collaboration by committing to the below action points & looking forward to joining.”

Early this month, Kamra tagged Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and the Government of Consumer Affairs on X and remarked about the service situation of Ola Electric’s S1 series of EV scooters. He also asked users to share their experiences in the comment section.

Reacting to it, Ola CEO Aggarwal took a jab at the comedian to join his team as his career in comedy “failed.” He wrote, “Since you care so much Kunal Kamra, come and help us out! I’ll even pay more than you earned for this paid tweet or from your failed comedy career. Or else sit quiet and let us focus on fixing the issues for the real customers. We’re expanding the service network fast and backlogs will be cleared soon.”

Last week, Harish Abhichandani, Ola Electric’s Chief Financial Officer, said 99 per cent of the complaints have been resolved to the “complete satisfaction of the customer as per Ola Electric’s comprehensive redressal mechanism.”
