South African cricket legend Jonty Rhodes has been in India for a few days now. On Friday, he made a post on X slamming Air India over a flight delay and shared how his seat on the plane was broken.
In the X post, Rhodes said his “flying bad luck continues”. His flight from Mumbai to Delhi was delayed over an hour-and-a-half. After boarding, the cricketer realised his seat was broken. He expressed his frustration in having to sign a waiver accepting the broken seat using an angry emoticon in the post.
Rhodes said he is “not looking forward to the next 36 hours” since it involved a return flight to Mumbai from Delhi and another one to Cape Town from there.
Here is the post:

Air India has been making headlines over operational issues for some time now. Meanwhile, the airline is all set to merge its operations with Vistara on November 12.
“Starting 03 September 2024, customers will, progressively, no longer be able to make bookings with Vistara for travel on or after 12 November 2024. All Vistara aircraft thereafter will be operated by Air India and bookings for the routes operated by these aircraft will be redirected to Air India’s website. Vistara will continue to take bookings and operate flights as usual till 11 November 2024,” Vistara said in a statement Friday.
