Watch: Motionless man floating in pond mistook to be dead body in Telangana, viral video sparks hilarious reactions

When the residents of the area informed the Kakatiya University police, a team rushed to the spot along with emergency medical services. In the video, shared by Sudhakar Udumula on X, the man, shirtless, can be seen floating in the pond as a policeman tries to pull him out. The floating man suddenly wakes up, triggering chuckles and laughs among the police and the people surrounding the pond.

Sharing the video, Udumula wrote, “Residents of Reddypuram Kovelakunta in Hanumakonda were taken aback today after discovering what they initially believed to be a dead body floating in the local pond. The man, later identified as a quarry worker from Kavali in Nellore District, was found lying motionless in the water from 7 am to 12 pm.”

“However, to everyone’s surprise, the man suddenly regained consciousness. It was soon revealed that he was not dead, but heavily intoxicated. He explained to the police that he had been working in a granite quarry for the past ten days, enduring 12-hour shifts. Exhausted from his grueling schedule, he had decided to take a dip in the pond to cool off, only to fall asleep in the water,” he added.
