Delhi rains: Viral photo shows journalists drinking in flooded Press Club of India

On seeing the post, many social media users termed the Press Club of India in Delhi as a “water cafe".

Heavy rainfall caused chaos in Delhi on Wednesday evening, flooding large parts of the city and creating massive traffic jams. Social media is buzzing with visuals of many water-logged areas of the city.

A viral photo clicked at the Press Club of India, located in the heart of Lutyens Delhi, shows journalists lounging, having drinks and snacks, sitting on chairs in knee-deep water.

Hemant Rajaura, a journalist with Hindustan newspaper, shared the photo on X, saying, “This is the scene of The Press Club of India in Delhi.”

The photo has garnered 131.2K views already. Reacting to the post, one user said, “This happens when you have too many XUVs outside your building when it’s raining..”

Another user said, “Kya mast log hai jinki party band nahi ho rahi. (What cool people, their party doesn’t seem to stop).”

“Let’s call it Boat Club….,” said one X user. Another one commented, “That’s a water cafe now.”
