Customer claims to receive fake iPhone 15 from Amazon, here’s what company said
Responding to the now-viral tweet, Amazon apologised for the inconvenience caused to the customer.

An Amazon customer—with more than 1.5 million followers on X—claimed that he received a fake iPhone 15 from the e-commerce site. Sharing the picture of the ‘fake’ phone, he said the screen states, “Unfortunately, Photos has stopped.”
Explaining his issue, the user social media wrote, “Waah @amazonIN delivered a Fake iPhone 15. Seller is Appario. Tagged with “Amazon choice” No cable in the box. Total Dabba. Has anyone faced similar issue?”

Responding to the now-viral post, Amazon apologised for the inconvenience caused to the customer. “We’re sorry to know that you received an incorrect product in the package. Kindly fill in your details here: [link], we’ll get back to you with an update in 6-12 hours time,” the company responded.
The user then replied to the company saying he already filled out the form and demanded a refund. “Thank you for confirming. Please wait for 6-12 hours, and our Social Media team will get back to you with a resolution via email. Your patience is appreciated,” Amazon said.

With the post going viral, users started responding to it. While some flooded the comment section highlighting similar issues, others slammed Amazon for sending fake products. A user wrote, “Happened to me 15 days ago. In my case, it’s some used old android phone inside Iphone packaging. My money gone, @amazonINrefused any help. Folks pls pls pls, stop buying expensive stuff on amazon.”
“True.. they are really cheating.. puchased a laptop but they didn’t issue invoice for it and hence i didn’t get extended warranty..Purchased some ointment.. sent empty tube..Cheaters,” an angry user wrote.
