A video of an animal rescuer from Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur rescuing a monitor lizard has gone viral. In the footage, Ajita Pandey is seen carefully retrieving the lizard from a water tank at a local home.

Armed with just a rod, Pandey captures the reptile and holds its tail with nothing but her bare hands. Despite the monitor lizard attempting to strike her twice, she stays calm and focused, completing the mission with remarkable courage and composure. Her fearless actions have left the Internet in awe.

The video has garnered over 43 million views.

Reacting to it, one user wrote, “Aunty is not for beginners.. pro level Ranger.” Another individual said, “There is not any problem using Gloves in this type of situation. Being a Medical person you must be aware of oropharyngeal Bacteria.”

Another video of Pandey went viral earlier this year. In it, she was seen calmly handling a snake that had found its way into an office building. In the footage, she walks in as employees direct her to the snake hiding behind a stack of books and files. Without hesitation or fear, she grabs the snake with one hand, and pulls it out from its hiding spot.

 

With a wide smile on her face, Pandey casually walks out of the office, the snake safely tucked away in a sack.
