If you are from Bengaluru or planning to move there, you must be aware of how difficult it is to find an apartment closer to your workplace. Many people have shared on social media how landlords have unreasonable demands and high security deposits are another setback while house hunting.

A woman posted on X, formerly Twitter, how she is using dating apps to find potential flatmates to replace her. Karuna Tata created a dating profile for her room and titled it “kholi chaar sau bees”, a playful reference to the song “My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves” from the 1977 film Amar Akbar Anthony.

“Is this a startup idea or a peak Bengaluru moment in desperate times? Anyways meet kholi number 420 who’s on tinder to get matched with potential flatmates to replace me. @Tinder_India please make this happen,” Tata wrote on X.

The 3 BHK flat is located in Singasandra, a suburb in the south side of Bengaluru near Electronic City. “I’m queen of aesthetics, just add fairy lights,” she wrote in the about me section and added that it is conveniently located near supermarkets and pharmacies. She also said there are no restrictions on vegetarian and non-veg food and they all like to bring friends over.

“The other day, My friend screen recorded & sent me the video of a girl’s profile who was legit on bumble only to get help on her project & used all her prompts to explain her project and the help she needs,” a user commented. “This lowkey cracked me up,” said another.

Apart from Tinder, she also created the room’s dating profile on Hinge. She described how the room gets a lot of sunlight and wrote “who wouldn’t want to live in a room like me”.
